Our aim in the Ume room is to help your child/ren feel happy, safe & excited to come to kindy. For some children we understand this may be their first experience of being away from their home environment for an extensive period of time. We strive for our room to be that of a caring, supportive & nurturing homely indoor/outdoor environment where parents can feel reassured in leaving their child for the day.

Parnterships & developing open lines of communication is key with this age group. Forming trusting connections with each & every family helps us as Educators to create a harmonious & stimulating environment that promotes development across all areas of learning areas for your child.

Social & Emotional Wellbeing, Physical skills, Cognitive Thinking & Language/Numeracy skills form the foundations of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). We use this framework to develop learning plans to provide fun, safe, age-appropriate experiences for your child – social play, storytime, music & movement, creative experiences, STEM & more the list is endless. These in conjunction with regular observations help to support & extend on the interests & needs of the individual child & this of the group, in helping them become confident happy little people.
